Registration of adoptions is governed by Adoption Act, (CAP. 335) RE 2002.

Procedure to obtain Adoption certificate

• Submit adoption order from the High Court.
  
• Surrender Birth certificate of the Adopted Child.
  
• Pay appropriate fee for Adoption Certificate( current fee rate Tshs 100,000/=).
