RITA registers of Divorces also issues certificates. Divorces is governed by the law of Marriages Act, Cap 29 .R.E 2002

Requirements / Procedure:

• Submit divorce decree where the right of appeal is no longer available. (If it is a foreign decree it has first to be resealed under the relevant law.)
• Submit a Copy of Marriage Certificate.
• Appropriate fee for obtaining a copy of Certificate of Divorce (current fee rate Tshs. 7000/=).
