Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Hon. Ummy Mwalimu addressing a range of Government Officials ,Political Parties, International Development Partners and Citizens on 11^th may 2015 during the launch of the Initiative for Registration and provide birth certificates for children aged under five years of Mwanza Region .

The Initiative aims to move services registry and birth certificates in areas where they live and that services be provided free of charge.

Also this Initiative involves advanced technology  in registering and keeping records of children registered in the relevant area , including phones which register and send information from the centers which make the exercise then the information entered directly into Database at RITA headquarter in Dar es Salaam.

This Initiative is already being implemented in Mbeya Region where 2013 was launched and so far more than 196,000 children are registered and provided birth certificates and still ongoing.
