Registration Insolvency and Trusteeship Agency (RITA) expects the official launch of 6-18 Birth Registration Initiative and give birth certificates to primary school Pupils at Kinondoni Municipality on Friday next week.
About 140 Government Primary Schools with overall of 155,944 pupils are to be involved, while the goal is to register 20,000 pupils and provide them birth cetificates. This Initiative has already begun to be implemented in Ilala Municipality in Dar es Salaam and 105 Primary and 96 Secondary Schools were involved.
The initiative shows major success with Over 16,000 students have registered and attain birth certificates. Whereas 51.2% are boys and 48.8% are girls and Registration is still ongoing.
